This is an Overnight trip. In October. So PLEASE be properly outfitted for the hiking warmup and the colder (40deg) night. You won't be allowed to travel past the Point Of No Return without proper gear. We will be leaving a "return trip vehicle" at the Sawyer River parking lot before we head out. Concord Caravan Meetup 6AM Wednesday morning Rite Aid, 94 South St.

We roll by 630am.
Hancock Notch Trailhead Meetup 8am. On the trail by 8:30am.
Day 1 is planned at about 8.5 miles with a mild path to cover about 1,000 ft of elevation gain. Starting on the Hancock Notch Trail (1.8) and onto the Loop Trail (.7) then along the Cedar Brook Trail (4.6) to the Wilderness Trail for the last mile (1-2). Then we scout and build camp up between the Chrystal Stream area of the Pemi East Branch but before we get the Carrigan Notch Trail.
Day 2 is about another 8 miles of varied terrains bringing us around Mnt Carrigan and down to Livermore Rd and the Sawyer River.
I'm planning early starts but easy and beautiful walking through the woods on trails that are only lightly used. Our phones will be paperweights with gps, map downloads, and cameras.  This is a "leave no trace" trip that should have about 4hrs of motion per day so that there will be plenty of time for exploration and admiring the wilderness around us. I do have a definite time to be off the mountain and back down further south for family commitments just so everyone knows :)
Plan for 4 meals, snacks and drinks etc.

I request each person or couple have their own independent equipment.#@#_WA_-_CURSOR_-_POINT_#@#
