Porcupine Outdoor Recreation Club (PORC)

Our philosophy:

Liberty is always Freedom from government; Freedom is always Liberty from people. We practice liberty and freedom by going outdoors and recreating. Exercising good health, good manners and living outdoors. We strive to lessen neighborhood tensions; to defend human inalienable rights and combat community deterioration.

Use this group to get together with other peoples and be active in all things outdoors and recreation

The purpose of this group is to encourage outdoor experiences and activities; to promote health and fellowship.

Developed in 2010 and organized in 2020, Porcupine Outdoor Recreation Club is the only Liberty Minded Outdoors Club in New Hampshire. At the present time The Porcupine Outdoor Recreation Club has a populous of non dues-paying/inactive membership of approximately 566. New applicants may often need to attend a few FreePORC events or spend time in the liberty community before being approved to join or becoming a sponsor of the club. There is no cost to be a freePORC. Porcupine Outdoor Recreation Club hopes to own a field area and water access in New Hampshire complete with buildings, archery ranges, bicycle trails, hiking and more. This land would be available to club members (GuestPORCs) for general day use and events. Camping could be permitted depending on the local laws and ordinances. Porcupine Outdoor Recreation Club supports, pollution abatement, and improving relationships in our communities. Porcupine Outdoor Recreation Club is composed of men, women and family's. This land could be made available upon request or invitation to 4H groups, scouting groups, church groups and other organizations for various activities including competition and recreation, linked together by a chain of friendship and consideration of others along with a common bond of love of Liberty, wildlife, health and the natural resources of this country, especially the Free State of New Hampshire.

This group is named after the porcupine because it has become a mascot of sorts for us in New Hampshire who value "Liberty" and "Freedom."  Although most members are philosophically interested in liberty and freedom, the group is NOT affiliated with any political party or organization. All are welcome here.
